Telkom Mobile, formerly known as 8ta, turned ten years old. We were tasked with creating a video marketing moment that celebrated that milestone in a way that would resonate with all south Africans who had been along for the ride in the last decade.


We had to tell a story, but we had to do it in a way that still got the message across on social media, if everyone had their playback sound set to mute. That’s why we chose a little funky track for the back and executed this is in a modern, vibey dated timeline style. This allowed us to mark all of the achievements of the Telkom mobile brand in the last 10 years and maintain a low budget with stock footage usage. We produced it in-house, with all script writing, design, motion graphics and editing executed by one of our very own talented team members.
